Lucknow’s first Canon imagePRES C700 installed

The commercial printing market of Lucknow is now ascended upon an updated technology – Canon imagePRESS C700. This machine for new levels of quality and productivity in colour production has been installed at Crest Office Automation, located strategically on Kaysons Lane in the upmarket Hazratganj area of Lucknow. The proud partnershipLed by Puneet Datta, director, Professional Printing Products Division, the team Canon India organised a well-attended ‘Road show’ on Canon imagePRESS C700 on January 29, 2015 at Lucknow followed by the installation of the same machine at Crest Office Automation on the very next day. Showcased at the road show was also the company’s 24- inch iPF605 large-format printer capable to deliver maximum resolution of 2400×1200 dpi in 4pl droplet size.

Puneet on the maiden installation of imagePRESS C700 in Lucknow said, “This is the 21st installation of this cutting-edge imagePRESS C-Series across the country.”

He further added that the response to machine, ever since its launch, has been phenomenal all over the globe. High-value applications of imagePRESS C700 include catchy brochures, high-quality full bleed booklets, quality perfect-bound books/ magazines and others, which are the main activities at Crest Office Automation, but all set to be enhanced to a new standard following the adoption of the advanced Canon machine. “Though we are printer of some of the local magazines, covers of these publications have since been outsourced due to limitation in facilities available with us.

Now, with this imagePRESS C700, we are well equipped and ready to deliver the covers in-house,” confidently said Dinesh Joshi, director, Crest Office Automation Pvt Ltd. Pratipaksh Sanbaad, Janpaksh, Metro Lucknow, to mention a few, are some of the locally-circulated magazines printed at Crest Office Automation. Other than magazines, corporate biggies who have been associated with the company since a long time for a gamut of commercial printing include Ashok Leyland, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), Uttarakhand Seeds and Tarai Development Corporation, Idea Cellular and others.

A brief look at the technological specifications of imagePRESS C700 reveals the machine’s competency in delivering upto 2400×2400 dpi in 256 gradations per colour. Running at the speed of 70pp/min, handling regular paper sizes from 7.2×7.2 inch to 13×19.2 inch of 52 to 300 gsm, it boasts of maximum paper input capacity of 7,650 sheets and maximum output capacity of 11,200 sheets (A4/A3). imagePRESS C800 offers versatility to create extensive and innovative applications and can handle everything from short runs to complex variable data printing.

Close on the heels of the landmark installation of imagePRESS C700 in Lucknow, Puneet said Canon India is now set to hit the roads leading to non-metro cities. “Our next-level mission is to capture more B-class cities like Chandigarh, Pune and others of the kind in a similar fashion of the Lucknow installation,” mentioned Puneet adding that they would also decisively plan to set up new support team to further augment the venture.
