Konica Minolta India installs its prestigious Accuriojet KM-1 In Chennai

The top brass from Konica Minolta Business Solutions India Pvt Ltd, Gurugram, Haryana descended in Chennai on 31st May 2018. The occasion was installation of Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1 at Dina Digital Prints, Chennai. D Ramalingam, P&P was invited for the launch. Here is a brief.

In a move hinting at a significant transformation in the country’s print and printing industry, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, a global leader in advanced imaging & networking, has completed the first-ever India installation of its state-of-the-art inkjet press, AccurioJet KM-1. The installation in Dina Color Labs in Chennai also marks the first AccurioJet KM-1 installation in the entire Southeast Asia region.

Dina Digital Prints, KM Towers, Triplicane, Chennai wore a festival look. New building had been constructed by the company for its new line of business. Its parent company Dina Color Lab is in printing trade in 1991 as a partnership firm dealing in photographic goods. Now Dina is a group of companies with turnover of Rs 200 crores. Having headquarters in Chennai, Dina has 7 branches in southern India. Expanding their periphery of business, it is now into photographic supplies, FMCG distribution of Indian as well as Indus international brands, sale of cameras and accessories, printing supplies, agricultural product, chain of restaurants and many more.

The installed base…

Already with their Konica Minolta bizhub press C608, MGI Digital, Konica Minolta bizhub press 6120, 102, hp 600 7 color, Fujifilm Acuity, Imetto 30×120 inches Photo Paper Print Machines they had acquired enough experience to print any thing from visiting card to synthetic material UV Fluorescent Micro Text and Lenticular Images.

The latest addition: Accuriojet KM-1

The Accuriojet has taken them to the next level. With their experience, they had demonstrated printing on uncoated, coated and synthetic substrates during launch. Metallic finish too was demonstrated.

AccurioJet is also a UV Inkjet machine. It is B2+ sheetfed one which can print 3000 sheets per hour in simplex mode and 1500 sheets per hour in duplex mode. The B2+ paper size is 8x750mm.

AccurioJet KM-1 efficiently caters to latest production demands and can easily handle quality jobs on a wide range of substrates, enabling unprecedented image production quality and capability to print on a host of media. It is consistent in terms of paper feeding, registration, image quality, and repeatability through excellent front-to-back registration accuracy, enabled by a gripper-to-gripper offset technology. Its proprietary KM controller for the servers also enables excellent ripping quality at par with the machine’s rated speed.

Its unique value proposition allows AccurioJet KM-1 to cater to the specific requirements of multiple commercial print and packaging applications. It also eradicates the requirement of pre/post printing processes to substantially reduce turnaround times and operational expenditures for printing business. This innovative solution has already garnered significant appreciation across the globe.

On Accuriojet KM-1 first installation in India
