Glo Color Digital Press installs India’s first HP Indigo 7500

Based out of Coimbatore, Glo Color Digital Press became the owner of first HP Indigo 7500 digital offset press in India to enhance its printing capabilities. Established around three decades ago, the company holds excellence in constantly innovating by offering wide range of albums with different finishes and introducing printing solutions on medias like Non-Tearable, Feather Touch, etc.

As per TS Ramanan, MD, Glo Color Digital Press, “We enjoyed a great success with HP Indigo press 3050, installed in 2007, but with the installation of HP Indigo 7500 digital offset press, we can now handle more jobs in less time, and still deliver the same high quality print what our customers expect. We’re also attracting new business by promoting the capabilities of our new press, such as the wide variety of substrates it can print on. White ink would enable us printing of high value pages on specialized substrates, including transparent, metallic and colour media.

The new HP Indigo 7500 digital offset press is the most flexible, technologically advanced high volume sheet fed digital printing solution in the market. Designed for high volume production, the HP Indigo 7500 digital press can print up to 120 A4 pages per minute (ppm) in full colour or 240 ppm in either monochrome or 2 colour.

Commenting on this new digital offset press for the Indian market, Puneet Chadha, director, graphic solution business, HP-IPG said, “We are happy to announce this new digital press and aim to tap fresh opportunities in Indian printing industry which is estimated to be about Rs 1,25,000 crore, of which digital printing industry in India is expected to grow at 25 percent year on year.” “Revolutionary product which Glo has introduced in the market will enable the corporates to considerably reduce their total printing budgets by offering on demand and short – run printing. Corporates need not print the minimum order quantity which is forced by the offset printers.
