Kannur (Kerala)-based Color Digital Press has recently installed Canon imagePRESS V800—a versatile cutting-edge digital colour production press with highly advanced features and core technologies. Sampath Thavara of Color Digital Press, says, “Prospect of digital printing is increasing with newer aspect in short-run production and print-on-demand services. Our recent addition of the imagePRESS V800 to the group of digital presses in our facility is strategic as we aim to take our digital printing to another level of quality and productivity.”

Capable to perform at the speed of 81ppm (pages per minute), this Canon digital production press boasts of its media compatibility to print on diverse stocks ranging from 52 gsm up to 350 gsm, delivering high-textured graphics in the industry’s leading resolution of 2400×2400 dpi. Media compatible with the press include covers, envelopes, synthetics, and 1300-mm long sheets.
“We installed this imagePRESS V800 in December last year. It’s a matter of just a few months since we started runningthe press, so printing just 45,000 sheets on it every month,” mentions Sampath.
