MK Printpack Pvt Ltd sets up their fourth unit

The 36-year-old printed cartons & corrugated boxes manufacturers based in Mumbai, MK Printpack Pvt Ltd, started their fourth unit in our country near Sriperumbudur industrial belt, 40 km away from Chennai on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritya on April 29, 2017. The amalgamation of colors were seen cascading their hues, the cut, the layers, the plys in all its variants were seen adding vibrancy to the décor, the ambience was frilled with familiarity of inks and hum of machines and amidst much fervor and feast, Mumbai based Packaging and Printing conglomerate MK Printpack held grand inauguration of its fourth state-of-the-art facility in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu.

The inauguration of the brand new factory was done by Mohini Kumar, wife of the founder Late Shri Prithviraj Kumar. A slew of personalities from packaging field attended the gorgeous function.

The new unit is housed in 30,000 sq. ft. in ground floor + Mezzanine construction, avoiding high rise trend. Sriperumbudur area was selected because it hosts various industries like FMCG, liquor, shoe, pharmaceuticals and electronics manufacturers. MK Printpack would cater to their packaging needs.

The workhorses…

Already entrenched in packaging field for more than three decades, MK ventured into new areas like Rigid Box manufacturing. They went in for state-of-the-art printing facilities like Komori Six Colour Lithrone 40 + coater, Brusse Auto Die Cutter, Meiguang Sheet Laminator, Perfect Cutting Machine, Violet CtP, various QC equipments ranging from GSM tester to spectrometer, prepress softwares, sample making machine, finishing machines, etc.

Why South India?

Anil Kumar, managing director, who unveiled the operations, stated that new unit in Sriperumbudur gives enforcement to Pan India presence. Moreover, South India is fast emerging as hub of manufacturing units with the presence of SIDCO, SIPCOT in and around Tamil Nadu with industries from various domains such as FMCG, liquor, shoe boxes, pharma, electronic as well as electric goods giving ample opportunities for the growing market needs.

Nizam Appas who has been looking after the South operations since more than a year from Chennai office also moved into factory with full fledged staff. Marking the occasion as landmark feat in the history of MK Printpack, Nizam commented, “We are already serving the existing clients in South India and opening up state-of-the-art facility in South India satisfy our focus to reach the customer at their doorstep with the full fledged service, maintaining the same quality with the same zeal with which we have been giving impression to every expression of our customers for more than three decades. With our unit in Sriperumbudur, we are going to be one among the few in South India, providing end-to-end solution under one roof.”
