Stafford Printing—a digital and offset printer in Stafford, Virginia—depends on the Process Metallic Color System from Color-Logic to produce striking direct mail pieces and other material for customers near Washington, DC. According to Stafford Printing owner Howard Owen, “Color-Logic, together with the white ink capability of our HP Indigo press, enables us to print on metallic substrate and let the metallic look shine through where we want it. The effect is very dramatic because the white ink and metallic effect provide excellent colour and none of the copier sheen that customers hate. We can use the process both on our HP Indigo and on our conventional offset press.”

Commenting on the project, Color-Logic director of sales and marketing Mark Geeves said, “The success of Stafford Printing demonstrates that the Color-Logic technology not only allows printers to differentiate themselves and their customers from their competitors, but enables them to generate new revenue with both current and new customers. Commercial advertisers and brand managers are rapidly adopting the Color Logic process to make their printed material stand out on their digital presses as well as on traditional machines.”

Color-Logic develops colour communication systems and software tool sets for a variety of special effect printing applications. Color-Logic provides brand owners, product managers, corporations, and their advertising agencies the ability to differentiate themselves and their clients with a simple print production process that yields dramatic results. Color-Logic decorative effects utilize the existing workflows of printers and designers, yielding dynamic results without the use of special equipment. Color-Logic supports the value of print and works with designers and printers to enhance their printed media.
