Reliable relies on RICOH

Celebrating 25 years of reliability in the region’s digital printing market, Mumbai-based Reliable is parallel getting on the new horizon of innovations and technologies. A complementary boost to the existing infrastructure of the company is the recent adoption of RICOH Pro C751 EX digital press. Print & Publishing explores more about Reliable’s success story. The search for finding a machine suitable to complement the existing infrastructure of Reliable which comprised HP Indigo 3550, Konica Minolta bizhub Pro C6501 and others eventually came to an end when they hooked to RICOH Pro C751 EX – a digital press designed compatibly to deliver the highest specification and reliability in its class. “We are now successfully using this newly adopted RICOH Pro series machine. If we maintain the quality standards offered by the machine, we hope to get complete ROI in the next couple of years,” said Dharmesh Mehta, COO, Reliable.

Added accuracy

On colour accuracy and efficiency in overall outputs of RICOH Pro C751 EX, Dharmesh remarked the initial results provided by the machine are quite promising and it (quality) would retain through regular calibration and maintenance. “Since our machine operators are well-versed with the functioning of the EFI RIP, it becomes easier for us to maintain colour accuracy in print outputs,” he added.

Right from start to finish, RICOH Pro C751 EX maintains the standards for productivity, efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness. Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) technology of the machine delivers razor sharp 4800 dpi print resolution.

Applications upbeat

“What we churn out on this newly installed RICOH Pro C751 EX are primarily the short-run jobs on art papers, cards and others, complementing the special metallic textures produced on HP Indigo press using special medias,” said Dharmesh adding that they also have a complete pre-press and post-press production facility.

In addition to its portfolio of colour digital presses is a line of machines which also included HP LaserJet 9040, HP Latex Designjet L25500, Roland VersaCAMM VP540, Canon imagePROGRAF, HP Designjet T1200, Kisun UV coating machine, Fastbind perfect binder, Morgana creasing machine, Gobbler thermal laminating machine, etc.

Brief background

Everything at Reliable started when Kantilal Satra and his brother Hasmukh Satra triggered the company into digital printing more than two decades back, upgraded from the photocopy business which they were into then. So far, the rapid growth of the company has been attaining through constant and committed endeavours of Jigar Satra and Dharmesh Mehta.
