Exports performance of Indian print industry

The statistical profile on exports of their respective panels related to print industry such as Paper, Paper Board & Paper Products; Books, Publications & Printing; Paints, Printing Ink & Allied Products and Misc. Products released by CAPEXIL for the year 2011-12, print and its allied industries/products have achieved a considerable growth in most of the areas. (Value in Rs million) Exports performance (general) In the statistical profile released by CAPEXIL, it has been revealed that during the year 2011-12 India’s merchandise exports reached a level of USD 30,596 crore (Rs 14, 65,959 crore) wich was 21.38 percent higher in dollar terms (28.26 percent in rupee terms) than the export value of previous financial year of USD 25,114 crore (Rs 11,42,922 crore). Despite the recent setback faced by India’s export sector due to global slowdown, merchandise exports still recorded a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 20.3 percent from 2004-05 to 2011-12.
