Satyam Print House marks a successful transition

Establishing Satyam Print House at Lower Parel in central Mumbai, a garment manufacturer Vinay Mehra entered the printing business in the year 1999 with his partners Narayanbhai Patel and Mahesh Gothi who were in the stationery business, running their own stationery shop. Now marking a successful transition, Satyam Print House is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies to cater a wide variety of customers, most being from the pharmaceutical and commercial industry. The company has a Heidelberg Printmaster PM 74 four-colour press apart from post-press machines and in-house designing studio.

Changing fields from the garment business to printing was not an easy task for Mehra. While running his garment manufacturing business, he would get clothing tags made from a printing unit, whose owner recommended printing as a good business option for him. Mehra first started with no background or knowledge whatsoever in printing and there was no one to teach or guide him either. The initial years were tough and he learnt the hard way. From 2003, Mehra began outsourcing jobs to a printer who owned a Heidelberg press and was very impressed with the quality and reliability of the press. That is how he gained the confidence in Heidelberg products. Now, Mehra is fully satisfied with the Heidelberg Printmaster PM 74 because it is compact and versatile, simple to operate, and can be used to print on variety of materials – from lightweight paper to 0.6 millimeter (0.02 inch) thick card.

“We only suggest the best for printers looking for remarketed equipment. The Heidelberg Printmaster PM 74 at Satyam is from Japan, which is well maintained by Heidelberg Japan service team. The machine had done only 30 million impressions; we provide our prospects with full history of the equipment,” stated Ajith Kumar, head – remarketed equipment division of Heidelberg India.
