Shuban Prints surfaces to take a big pie of packaging in Rajasthan with Komori On the concept of ‘you express, we print’, a brand new printing & packaging facility of Shuban Prints, a sister concern of well known pharma company LUPIN, has surfaced in the pink city of Jaipur, equipped with brand new Komori Lithrone S-29 four colour press and UV coater from APL. The young, energetic and with lot of aspirations and dreams Bharat Gupta who comes with over eight years of experience in manufacturing industry whishes to see his new venture serving all sorts of customers.

Formal opening ceremony at the facility was held recently amongst the presence of over 200 local invitees which include well wishers and industry professionals. Noriaki Baba, in-charge for India, Export Department-3 Section-3, Overseas Sales Group (South Asia developing territory), Komori Corporation was specially present along with Sangam Khanna (with his entire team) from Insight and performed the formal ribbon cutting ceremony before Lithrone press was made to run and produce the first job of lord Ganesha. Though the major work to be handled at their 10,000 sq ft facility will comprise of packaging jobs for LUPIN and for that they have also installed a pre-owned Bobst punching machine and a folder gluer. But they also don’t want to miss out general commercial jobs available in Jaipur city or adjoining areas. Bharat sees a possibility of acquiring good number of such jobs which are being catered by printers in Delhi or Noida. In the pre-press section, initially the company will be depending on with conventional PS plates making facility which they intend to upgrade with CtP in the second phase of expansion.

Mal for turning his dream into reality in establishing this state-of-the-art printing and packaging plant. Other prominent person in the organization is none other than Neha Gupta, wife of Bharat Gupta who will be shouldering the responsibility of HR, a backbone in any set up. “With an investment of around Rs 6.7 crore, Shuban Prints has a turnover target of Rs 12 crore in the very first year,” affirms Bharat confidently.

Shuban Prints will offer mono cartons for packaging varied items like pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, FMCG items in accordance with customers’ needs and specification like: crash lock bottom, reverse tuck-in/universal type, display tray and PDQs blister cards with heat seal lacquering window patch cartons, double walled self forming packs. Besides, they will also execute various other jobs like: posters, catalogues, paper bags, business cards, greeting cards, hand tags, pressure sensitive stickers, labels, menu cards and leaflets. “We will focusing to establish an international presence in packaging through our innovative designs, concepts and execution,” conveys Bharat.

The Lithrone S29 installed at Shuban Prints features extensive automation with Komori’s most advanced technologies. These range from the new KHS AI (Cost Saver) Semi-APC that eliminates the need for a tail bend on the plate and is capable of changing four plates in just two minutes 30 seconds, to completely automatic washup of the blanket and impression cylinders and inking rollers.

In addition to exceptionally short makeready, the Lithrone S29 offers a maximum printing speed of 16,000sph with ultra-stable print quality. “The major advantages of the Lithrone S29 include high print quality, high reproducibility, superior inking and distribution, and colour brilliance along with high productivity. We wish Shuban Prints to use the machine up to optimum level for getting fast ROI,” added Sangam Khanna, director, Insight Communication & Print Solution I Pvt Ltd, distributors of Komori machines in India.

In the evening this was followed by a seminar hosted by Insight Communications and Noriaki Baba stressed that Komori is committed to the Indian printers to provide them the latest and the best of the world technologies like the KHS AI & the H-UV technologies which will provide them with a cutting edge in making profit over their competition and reducing the cost of production by 30 to 35 percent.

Sangam Khanna gave a presentation on the Komori KHS AI & the Komori H-UV system which has take the world by a surprise and in just a matter of five days in Print China Komori showcased its KHS AI & the H- UV System on the LS 40 and had record sales of over 250 machines. In Japan most of the commercial and the packaging customers are now choosing the combination of the Komori KHS- AI and the H-UV technology. With the ever reducing margins in the printing industry and cut throat competition the KHS AI can benefit the customers by reducing the cost of production substantially.

SN Aggarwal of Print O Land an existing customer of Komori in Jaipur and the first user of KHS AI in the world from Komori explained that how the KHS AI benefited him in reducing his cost of production. He thanked Komori for launching such technologies where they will provide a platform to progress in the ever competitive print market.
