Innovations galore @ PRINT 17

PRINT 17 is the one of most comprehensive trade shows for digital, inkjet, offset, flexo, gravure and hybrid technologies, products and services for the commercial, transactional, converting and package printing, publishing, mailing, in-plant, photo imaging, marketing and industrial printing industries. This year, professionals from every segment of the graphic communications industry, along with over 450 exhibiting companies, will make their mark at the show.

To be organised from September 10-14 at McCormick Place in Chicago, PRINT 17 will be a meeting point gathering 450 exhibitors from all spheres of the printing industry. The industry event will present the latest graphic communications technologies in live equipment demonstrations across the exhibition floor, plus education on the most in-demand products and newest profit-making opportunities.

Here’s a glimpse of what to expect at the fair:

Avery Products Corp. (stall 3660): AveryPRO is a line of digital printing solutions from Avery Products Corporation, featuring professional-grade, pressure-sensitive substrates, free Press-Align design templates and customizable marketing materials.

EFI (stall 4022): will showcase its breakthrough technologies for the manufacturing of signage, packaging, corrugated, textiles, ceramic tiles, and personalized documents, with a wide range of inkjet printers, inks, digital front ends, and a comprehensive business and production workflow suites that transforms and streamlines the entire production process, increasing competitiveness and boosting productivity.

Epson America (stall 831): will offer an enhanced lineup of large format printers that can be used in a variety of ways – printing photos, producing proofs for printing, creating point-of-purchase materials, creating educational materials, creating signage, outputting CAD diagrams, printing patterns on textiles, etc. Through its inkjet label presses and textile printers, Epson is promoting the digitalization of customers’ manufacturing processes, and is making significant contributions to small-lot high-mix production and reducing the cost and environmental burden of production.

FUJIFILM North America (stall 2013): is showing its product range, which consists of plates for most applications. The CtP line from the company is lo-chem or chemical free. LH-NN2 is a high speed, negative working thermal plate designed for newspaper

printers. For both newspaper and commercial segments, FUJIFILM’s FNE is a negative working conventional plate. In the category, LP-NNV is also a negative working high-speed plate. Newspaper houses utilising a violet platesetter, Superia Ecomaxx-VN from the company provides a simple processing system in a single step finishing solution. These are part of what FUJIFILM North America is presenting at PRINT 17.

HP Inc (Stall 613): Experience how print is relevant in the digital world – and a key growth driver for print service providers and their brand customers. So, whether you own a small business, manage a busy branch location, or run a large department, you can count on HP for dependable, cost-effective printers to meet your needs. The company will also offer HP Pagewide business printers, HP Indigo printers, HP Designjet printers, etc.

With its banner slogan ‘People & Print’, KBA North America (stall 213): will be a show-stopper at PRINT 17 as the company is presenting its whole range of machines and technologies in a big way. Headquartered at

Würzburg in Germany, KBA) is the oldest and second largest manufacturer of presses of all kinds, comprising sheetfed, web offset and others. The company is showing its Lithographic Web Offset Non-Heatset 16 Page Format, 4 Page Format, Mini Format, among others at the expo.

Komori America Corporation (stall 2607): will offer eco-friendly and economical innovative UV curing system – Komori H-UV System. With just one lamp mounted in the delivery, this system offers high print quality and reliability as well as excellent economic and eco-friendly performance. Also on offer will be Lithrone GX/G-series, Lithrone SX/S-series, Lithrone A series, Enthrone series of presses.

Konica Minolta (stall 2031): The company manufactures business and industrial imaging products, including copiers, laser printers, multi-functional peripherals (MFPs) and digital print systems for the production printing market. Konica Minolta’s Managed Print Service (MPS) is called Optimised Print Services. More recently, the company has launched of e-bizVAULT, a cloud based web DMS (Document Management System) solution which furnishes all the benefits of a DMS in a cloud environment for enterprises.

Line O Matic Graphic Industries (stall 3455): Line O Matic Graphic Industries is the leading supplier of machinery for making exercise books (Staple, Central Sewn, Spiral etc.), Copy paper and many other applications. With more than 3000 installations in 55+ countries, they offer the machines of international standard (ISO 9001:2008, CE, etc.) backed with excellent service support system.

manroland web systems (stall 1067): The company is notable for its remarkable web offset printing and digital inline-finishing systems, which trade visitors at the expo could catch live. The manroland series of commercial printing presses include ROTOMAN HiPrint, ROTOMAN DirectDrive, ROTOMAN S, EUROMAN, LITHOMAN and LITHOMAN S 96-Pages.

Mitsubishi Imaging, Inc. (stall 2655): Mitsubishi Imaging, a leader in sustainable green technology, has a long history of success serving the imaging needs of the photographic, inkjet and graphic arts industries in North and South America. They provide commercial and in-plant printers with state-of-the-art imaging products, technical expertise and the latest offset and digital solutions. Their customers can choose exactly the right products to grow their business from innovative and ecological CTP and workflow solutions, to premium inkjet media for high resolution imaging, to commercial, high-speed specialty inkjet media for a wide range of production printing needs and more.

Muller Martini (stall 625): Muller Martini offers an extensive range of products, covering everything from saddle stitching through loose leaf binding, trimming, perfect binding and thread sewing to sophisticated mailroom solutions for the newspaper market. Thanks to its high level of automation and its networking through CONNEX, its continuous workflow system, their solutions score highly in the area of digital solutions with quality, unbeatable changeover times and higher process automation.

Pitney Bowes (stall 848): Pitney Bowes is a global technology company powering billions of transactions – physical and digital – in the connected and borderless world of commerce. Clients around the world, including 90 percent of the Fortune 500, rely on products, solutions and services from Pitney Bowes in the areas of customer information management, location intelligence, customer engagement, shipping, mailing, and global ecommerce. Ricoh USA (stall 2022): The company offers solutions for commercial printers, book publishers, direct mailers, digital services providers, service bureaus and franchise quick printers. The Ricoh Pro VC60000 enables a more rapid shift from offset to digital for commercial printers focused on data-driven workflow requiring high-speed inkjet press, vibrant print quality and media flexibility that includes books, manuals, brochures, personalised collaterals, direct marketing and precision marketing. It reduces the make-ready time and speeds-up turn-around, maximises operational efficiency and allows greater control of costs.

While, Ricoh Pro C9100 Series can integrate into a hybrid workflow and delivers greater flexibility, superb print quality and higher productivity with faster turnaround performance. It compliment offset printers in terms of quality and provide variable data with greater media handling capability.

The company also offers a line of digital wide format solutions for low to medium volume users that are second to none in performance and reliability. RYOBI MHI Graphic Technology (RMGT) (stall 1244): The company offers a variety of offset presses. These include A1 size press RMGT 9 and 1,050 mm format press RMGT10 incorporating LED-UV curing systems and PQS-D inline-printing quality control systems. They also offer RMGT DP7, a B2-size liquid toner type digital offset press.

Shanghai Yoco Printing Machinery Co., Ltd. (stall 4203): The company offers post-press machinery including automatic die cutting machine and automatic foil stamping machine; folder gluer; quality inspection machine; window patching machine and film laminating machine.

Xante Corporation (stall 2448): Xante will offer Impressia Digital Multi-Media Print Systems, which is the affordable way to go digital and meet the demand for fast full color letterhead, cards, envelopes, forms, brochures, mailers, labels, banners and more. This system is a high quality color envelope printer solution. Xeikon, a division of Flint Group (stall 4207): The beating heart of label Suites, whether for self-adhesive labels, IML labels or heat-transfer labels, is their range of Xeikon 3000 digital label printing presses. The company will offer presses from the entry level 3050 to their flagship 3500 and its top speeds.

Xerox Corporation (stall 1302): Xerox Corporation is an $11 billion technology leader that innovates the way the world communicates, connects and works. The company will offer digital printing solutions for various applications like book publishing, direct marketing, packaging printing, personalized catalogs, photo publishing and transactional marketing.

Zund (stall 4404): The company will offer multifunctional digital cutters for graphics, packaging, textile and leather industries, as well as in technical textiles and composites.

PRINT 17 has been geared up as a platform where exhibitors could interact with their existing customers as well as a robust mix of first-timers from all around the globe.

Apart from an exhibition, 50 co-located industry conferences, meetings, networking events and receptions will be part of the five-day trade expo.
