As Thailand’s packaging, printing and corrugated packaging industries continue to show growth and strengthen their role as critical players to Thailand’s economy, innovation, adapting to changing customer demands, and sustainable solutions, are top priorities. Bringing these sectors together for a one-stop international marketplace, this is where business deals are negotiated, sales leads generated, and networking and knowledge-exchange take place.

Making a return to the exhibition circuit for a consecutive year, after a highly successful comeback in 2022 with more than 10,000 visitors, are specialty exhibitions PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL and CorruTec ASIA that will return to BITEC Bangna, Bangkok from September 19-23, 2023. The co-located exhibitions are jointly organised by Messe Dusseldorf Asia and three of Thailand’s industry association stalwarts – The Thai Packaging Association, The Thai Printing Association, and the Thai Corrugated Packaging Association (for CorruTec ASIA).

“Post pandemic, a new and open environment will create better opportunities and the future looks promising for the print and packaging sector and the exhibitions are well-positioned to take place again this September,” said Pongthira Pathanapiradej, President, The Thai Printing Association.”

With a successful track record that continues to gain momentum since 2007, now into its 9th edition – PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL serves as a strategic launch pad into Thailand and the wider Southeast Asia region for international companies. For the 2nd edition of CorruTec ASIA, with the fast growing corrugated packaging market and global focus on more sustainable packaging solutions, the synergistic co-located exhibitions come against the backdrop of the Thai government’s focus on promoting the bio-economy, circular economy and the green economy; the printing, packaging, and down to the sourcing of sustainable raw materials is yielding opportunities for strong investment support. Since 2020, the value of the sustainable packaging industry has grown by about 6.2% or THB9 trillion. According to Chusak Deetrakunwattanapoen, President, Thai Corrugated Packaging Association: “The outlook for the global packaging market looks very bright with Asia Pacific representing one of the largest and fastest-growing corrugated packaging markets in the world.”

As Thailand continues to step up efforts to welcome back large-scale international business events and host iconic events, TCEB (Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau) is well on its way to positioning the country as the preferred MICE destination in the region. PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL and CorruTec Asia are well positioned later in the year with stronger global business activity, unrestricted travel and overall confidence expected as economies pick-up pace. With Thailand’s economic growth expected to be led by an export driven recovery aided by a cyclical rebound in investment, this will also give steady rise to the production and consumption of packaging goods and packaging supplies as well as printing technologies and corrugated packaging.
