Eastern Print Pack 2024 showcases future of printing

Eastern Print Pack 2024, held on November 22–24 at Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan in Kolkata, focused on some trending solutions, latest technologies, new machines, and more.

Reflecting the ongoing trends and tradition of the industry to fulfil the ever growing needs and demands of the printing companies and packaging convertors, Eastern Print Pack 2024 engaged and sought insights into new prospects and possibilities to propel businesses.

Bringing together a host of exhibitors comprising printing machine manufacturers, regional distributors, industry partners, brand owners, and others, the 8th edition of Eastern Print Pack this year had showcased complete printing solutions which also provided new scopes for cross-industry co-operation and business expansions.

Among the key exhibitors was Monotech Systems that showcased its ever popular PixelJet UVmini, a best solution for small UV printing businesses, alongside others including MIMAKI JV100-160, PixelGlow Lumina, RICOH Pro C7500, etc. Manoj Garg, Business Head -WFG (Wide-Format Graphics), Monotech Systems Limited, said the company’s stall is a presentation of a complete eco-system of printing. Konica Minolta India showed advanced printing solutions comprising AccurioShine 3600, AccurioPress 7120, and AccurioPress C4080, demonstrating its commitment to driving future innovations in the printing and packaging sector. Canon India demonstrated its Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-526, TM 5350, and others including digital production presses. Abhijoy Bakshi, Regional Manager–East, Large Format Printing, Partner Business Centre, Canon India Pvt Ltd, informed, “The two digital large-format machines on display aim to boost signage/photo & AECM printing.” In addition, Manju Juneja, National Business Manager, Industrial Sales, Customer Business Centre, Canon India Pvt Ltd, stated that the showcases of Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 8986 (86ppm) for monochrome graphics and Canon imagePRESS V700 for colour graphics marked a new yardstick for high-end commercial printing . Demonstrating the popular models comprising SureColor SC-S40670, SC-530, SC-T3130N, SC-T54030M, etc, EPSON India pulled crowds to these large-format digital graphics they displayed. Somenath Chandra, Senior Sales Executive, EPSON India Pvt Ltd, said the printers collectively aim to revolutionise signage graphics as well as garment (wearable) printing. What it pulled crowd to the stall of HP India was DesignJet Smart Tank T908. Jai Ghosh, Regional Manager–East, HP Large Format Design (GSB), HP India Sales Private Limited, mentioned that the high-volume and cartridge-free refillable ink tank HP DesignJet Smart Tank T908 printer is designed for colour printing at extremely reduced cost.

Xerox India demonstrated its PrimeLink C9070 digital colour production press with 11-colour capacity, accompanied by PrimeLink B9100 Series monochrome press. Arjun Khosla, Associate Director – Head Production System Group, Xerox India Limited, appreciated the show’s engagement with potential trade visitors from the region. HP’s dealer, distributor & supplier Redington had a presentation revolving around HP Indigo 18K and 120K Digital Presses. Manju Ramarao, Marketing Manager, Redington Limited, said the presentation of the two HP Indigo flagship presses triggered a new wave of POD graphics which offset and flexographic printers are embracing for ‘digital’ diversification.

Jaytiya Cad Cam Systems, an authorised eastern Indian dealer of Mehta Hitech Industries, demonstrated some of the Mehta’s cutting-edge machines, such as BRUNO, UNO, SINO, RasterJet, etc. Pinku Tikadar, Director, Jayita Cad Cam Systems, said, “We feel grateful to find a good number of focused trade visitors comprising our existing customers as well as new prospects on all three days of the show.” A regional distributor of Lisco Systems in East India, Aptech Digital presented an impressive live demonstration of Gongzheng G32025G Plus, pulling attention of trade visitors to the machine’s advanced features, which include its speed (234sqm/hr).

FUJIFILM India brought a new shift of photo printing with its Apeos Pro C650 digital colour A3 multifunction printer. The photo printer on display pulled attention of those photo printing professionals on all three days of the show. Ramu Babu M, Regional Sales Manager–South, Photo Imaging Division, FUJIFILM India Private Limited, said the digital photo printer with LED printhead is capable to deliver photos in the industry’s leading resolution of 2400dpi, maintaining vibrant colours with Super EA Eco toner and its smallest toner particles for smooth gradation.

Minosha, an authorised RICOH distributor in India, demonstrated the ever demanding RICOH Pro C7500 at the show. Prasanna Rajagopalan – National Business Manager–Production Printing, Minosha India Limited, said the show is the right platform to ‘connect and experience’ with their customers and prospects in Eastern India.

Megabound, a globally acclaimed manufacturer of complete hard-case solutions for book binding & rigid box making, at the show demonstrated some of its major products in collaboration with its Eastern Indian channel partner LP Print Info Solution. Padmakara Reddy R, General Manager-Sales, Megabound (India) Pvt Ltd, said they took the opportunity of the show to announce their strategic partnership with LP Print Info Solution.

TechNova Imaging System’s stall at the show presented a complete eco-system encompassing pre-press, press, and post-press machines and equipment including Duplo DDC-810 spot UV coater, Konica Minolta AcurioPRESS C1200 digital colour production press, JWEI digital flatbed cutter, so on. The eco-system of products presented a complete printing, print enhancement, and flatbed cutting (finishing) solutions. Dukinfo Systems, a Kolkata-based provider of PVC card printing machines, ID card printers, PVC cards, zebra ribbons, etc, demonstrated some of its flagship products. Rajib Mitra, Director, Dukinfo Systems Private Limited, said the show remains a prolific platform for them to connect with peers and prospects.

Representing leading brands such as Caldron Graphics and others in eastern India, Graphic Aids showcased some key machines and products. Rishi Vidhawan of Graphic Aids said the expo provides a productive platform for networking with industry peers, regional players, and many others on all three days of the expo. KRONOS India, a print service provider cum machine dealer, showcases its prowess to print high volume jobs. Ravindra Singh of KRONOS India stated that footfall of valued trade visitors at the show is remarkable.

Westland Rubber, manufacturer of rubber rollers for diverse presses including commercial, books, newspapers, and others presented a line of products designed to the current industry needs. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Country Head Sales & Marketing, Westland Rubber Private Limited, informed that the profiles of visitors at the show ticked as the right crowd they predicted.
