– now comes with barcode scanner

POLAR MOHR recently introduced the new POLAR 66 X high-speed cutter with a value addition, which now comes with a barcode scanner, is hydraulic equipment mainly used for simple cutting jobs and handles the 35×50 offset class. The P-Net networking concept allows integration of the cutter into the digital workflow, which also ensures a perfect connection to digital printing.

The optional integrated barcode scanner feature allows specific job data to be read, and can automatically engage the appropriate cutting programme, which not only saves time that would have been spent searching for the programme, but also helps to eliminate errors. The all new POLAR 66 X with the barcode scanner feature makes everyday cutting operations more accurate and easy on the shop floor. Being programmable ‘service cutter’, the system can be operated immediately and by anyone.

Sizes with a diagonal larger than 67 cm or 26 3/8 inches (up to a maximum sheet length of 67 cm or 26 3/8 inches) can be turned on the front table. Quick printers, copy shops, franchisers and in-plant print shops appreciate the ease of operation. The excellent cutting accuracy is based on the rugged construction and direct measuring system. POLAR 66 X can store recurrent cutting sequences and repeat them automatically. Stored data can also be corrected and added anytime.

Equipped with a 10.4” colour display, this cutter is specially designed for the needs of digital printing businesses. “Recently we have installed two POLAR 66 X cutters in Photonics Digital in Cochin and Nila Xerox in Coimbatore – both are digital printing houses. The cutting equipments are performing well and customers are happy with our solutions,” says Ganesh Kumar, product manager-postpress, and Heidelberg India.

In India, POLAR cutting equipments are distributed through Heidelberg. For details, contact: ganesh.kumar@heidelberg.com
