Mumbai-based JD Graphics has installed an MGI Jetvarnish 3D One and Accuroshine 101. The company was started in 1984 as a manual positive unit. They later installed a scanner and then moved on to digital printing.
The companu is run by Jeevan Mohandas, Druman Mohandas and his son Omkar Mohandas.

The MGI Jetvarnish 3D One is a digital spot UV finishing machine that enables users to transform standard print jobs into engaging print products that are more vivid and tactile. It is a compact, cost effective and entry level solution for all types of printers. “This will help us to expand our business potential by entering the digital embellishment business which is growing in short run applications,” tells Jeevan. Along with 3D One, Konica Minolta has also provided AccurioShine equipment to conduct offline foiling applications.

The small operational footprint of the Jetvarnish 3D One allows printers, finishers and converters to have a full inhouse production and prototyping print embellishment system without screens, dies or plates. “Market especially post covid pandemic is moving to short run digital printing. MGI Jetvarnish supports these short run jobs with new UV and foiling applications with much ease of use,” he adds.

It offers variable varnish thickness between 21 and 116 micron for 2D and 3D tactile effects in one single pass.
