East India’s first RICOH C7200X installed at Image Print, Kolkata

Kolkata’s leading digital printer, Image Print has bought east India’s first Ricoh Pro C7200X 5th Color Station Digital Production Press for offering value-added prints to their customers.

Danish Rahman, Image Print says, “In 2022, after the installation of Ricoh PRO C7200X we are very happy and excited since the print production volume of the company has more than doubled in the first two months itself. The machine has lots of new and exciting features like banner printing, and the addition of special colors like gold, silver, white and clear ink apart from traditional CMYK has added much more value to the already existing avenue. The machine also produces unparalleled result and excellent colour gamut in special media like texture, metallic finish and kraft board which has also contributed to increasing the print volume. The machine supports up to 360gsm auto duplex which is very high for digital print standards. The added and exciting features give us an edge over our competitors, and we also have the early mover advantage,” emphasized Danish.

The company has a setup of various reputed brands of machineries and covers area like production printing, large format printing, signage, and print finishing services.

Image Print was started in 2004 as a small photocopy and print shop by Danish Rahman at Dalhousie area, while he was still studying in his final year of college pursuing B.Com Hons. Initially, the Company got its large chunk of customers from banks, corporate offices, court area, and many government offices which were nearby. The demand was steadily rising, and he soon converted his business into a complete designing and digital/commercial printing unit and soon started getting orders for flyers, brochures, ID cards, memorandum, annual reports, etc. He further completed a graphic designing and AutoCAD course in 2008.

“The RICOH PRO C7200X has been a game-changer for our company. We got excellent service support from Monotech Systems since the time of installation,excellent training about the use of new features and very well-trained engineers and staff. After installation of this machine, many print houses, suppliers, publishers, resellers, and ad agencies have contacted us to print their jobs and that is steadily increasing our print volume everyday. Our production has crossed 2 lac per month on a single printer which was approx. under 1 lac print per month before, and we are confident to achieve a target of 5 lacs within next six months due to the availability of dedicated team of in house and very well-trained staffs and machine operators,” he added.

We are also providing other value-added services like foiling,UV finish and thermal lamination with 3D, Matte/Gloss, Satin and Velvet finish,” he added.

“Our label printing orders have also drastically increased since we have the total in-house setup for label punching and cutting of various shapes, and printing on different label media like transparent, PVC and metallic.
