ABP orders new press from WIFAG

-adds to their WIFAG OF370 high speed presses

At the beginning of September 2010, ABP Pvt Ltd ordered another press from WIFAG, comprising four full colour towers, four autopasters and other accessories. Scheduled to be delivered, installed and commissioned by WIFAG in early 2012,

this new press will provide an additional 32 full colour broadsheet page capacity.

This order for WIFAG is the result of a successful and well established partnership with ABP. WIFAG is proud to accompany ABP into and through the next phase of the press life cycle. With this first order, WIFAG is re-starting successfully after an extensive restructuring phase. Re-launching the business with the existing product portfolio is a viable option for WIFAG due to the confidence and trust of customers who are real partners.

ABP Pvt Ltd is the publisher of Anandabazar Patrika, one of the largest circulated Bengali-language newspapers in the world, with a daily circulation of 1,173,750. ABP also prints The Telegraph, the highest circulated English daily in Eastern India. Recently, the company began commercial production with their high speed, double wide, double circumference WIFAG OF370S presses, each with a maximum speed of 84,000 copies per hour. The presses are housed in a new, purpose designed building on a green field site just north of Kolkata. The new press will be designed and manufactured in the same WIFAG quality as the existing presses.
