Organised by Indian Printing Packaging & Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA), the 12th Printpack India is scheduled to be organised at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida from February 11–15, 2015. As on date more than 400 exhibitors from India and abroad have booked their space for displaying their latest machinery and other equipments. Some of the exhibitors have doubled their space booking in comparison to Printpack India 2013 exhibition, while some of them have booked space in two or more halls, keeping in view the tremendous business enquiries generated during the last edition of the show. The exhibition will be spread over a gross area of more than 50,000 sq m.

The key players from printing industry like Xerox, HP, Canon, Heidelberg, Komori, Mitsubishi, Konica Minolta, FujiFilm, Kodak India, Line O Matic, Manugraph, Welbound, Pressline, APL Machinery, Five Star Machinery, Joy D-Zign etc., have already confirmed their presence and are ready to display their latest technology and branded equipments.

As far as visitor promotion campaign is concerned, IPAMA has organised more than 40 promotional meets which include road shows, press conferences and participation in exhibitions and also promoted in overseas exhibitions like Print Pack Sign Expo (Kenya), INTERPACK (Germany), All in Print China, K-Print (Korea), Print Technology (Malaysia), Bangladesh etc. IPAMA has made elaborate arrangements for hosting more than one lakh business visitors to the show.

For the smooth commuting for visitors, IPAMA will provide free shuttle services from Botanical Garden Metro Station, Noida to India Expo Centre at frequent intervals. These services will be directly manned by professional agency and the representatives of the transport company which has considerable professional experience in providing transport facilities during major events in North India. The visitors/exhibitors can also use paid taxis which are available from different locations in NCR. IPAMA will also provide free transport facility to exhibitors & business visitors from their hotels if travelling in groups.

Apart from the exhibition, there are two value additions in 12th Printpack India, one is NPES ICC Colour Conference and second is Seminar on Web Offset Printing Industry. Both these events will be addressed by prominent and well known speakers from different institutions. Here’s a brief display profile of a few exhibitors at the show:

Press…

Insight Communication (3/B-16) having opted for a 200 sq m stand at Printpack India 2015, will exhibit Komori LA437 sheetfed machine which visitors can see working live. They intend to run the machine 3-4 times a day with variety of print jobs.

Y Komori,chairman and CEO from Japan shall also have his presence during the show. “Another attraction at their stand will be that Insight Communication shall offer machines at the older prices if one signs up during the show itself,” informs Sangam Khanna, director at Insight Communication. Among other offerings at their stand, Kodak Trendsetter CtP is also going to be witnessed by visitors. To facilitate large number of visitors, a contingent of equally large number (25-30) of staff of Insight Communication shall be there to greet.

Webtech (11/G-31) will offer printing and packaging machines. The company also offers engineering services with contract manufacturing and engineering services from designing, prototype to mass production, testing equipment etc.

Fairprint (5/C-6 + C-6A) believes in continuous innovation and they offer variable data printing machines, poly offset, envelope making machine, paper folding machine, pack to pack computer stationery printing machine, etc.

Provin Technos Pvt Ltd (1/A-19) With a motto Service Redefined in Printing, Provin will display Ryobi 925D with LED UV Curing System (World Premiere) with a speed of 16,200 sph in straight printing mode; V3000LX-6C with Coater and Rotatek – Smart Flex 350 eb press with a max print speed of 150 m/min.

Swifts (9/E-33C) will offer presses for small & medium sized sheetfed printing presses.

Packaging…

SL Kulkarni Cyril Graphics Pvt Ltd (SLKCG) (10/F-11) through its sister company Sergusa Solutions Pvt Ltd will be exhibiting Print Inspection Systems – Carton Printing Quality Inspection system model DH-HSJP550 with ‘special additional feature’ of inspecting ‘bottom surface’ of folding carton; and PDF verification and sample proofing machine from Bejing Daheng Imaging Co.

Esko (7/D-7) will showcase integrated solutions for the packaging and labels, sign and display, commercial printing and publishing industries. Multitec (5/C-7B) offers printing & converting solutions in the mid-web and narrow-web range.

With quality accredited design and manufacturing facilities, Multitec offers a wide range of narrow web flexographic presses, variable cut-off offset presses, sheeters, slitter rewinders and baling presses.

Exercise Book Making…

Auto Rull India (7/D-14A) are yet another front runner in the domain of manufacturing, supplying and exporting of Ruling Machines. They have mastered in developing Reel to Sheet ruling machines.

Post press…

Memory Repro Systems (P) Ltd (5/C-3 & C14) specializes in designing, manufacturing, and installing pre-press and post-press equipment and consumables. Their products are marketed under the brand name MEMORY. They will offer conveyorised plate curing equipment with wash/gum/dry, offset plate cleaning machine, PRIM colour registration system, video plate punch and bender, flexo plate cleaning machine. In post press, they will offer case making and casing-in machine, pneumatic dab & joint forming machine, pneumatic bundling and strapping machine, thermal lamination machine, board knurling machine with auto-feeder, rigid box making plant. Kanthi Industries (Megabound) (3/B-2) Megabound is another leading manufacturer of complete hard-case solutions for the books binding industry in India. Their Compact Case Maker Machines can be used for short-run book covers, box files, photo albums, clip pads, game boards, window pasting and folding, note books, and diaries.

Muller Martini (5/C-20) will demonstrate its expertise in book binding and finishing systems. Experts from Muller Martini shall be available throughout the show for technical discussions and presentation of wide range of products.

New Launch: Worldwide and in India, there are several VENTURA MC 200 machines installed successfully. At this show the special focus shall be on the newly launched entry-level thread sewing machine model VENTURA MC 160. Also the highlight of the show shall be the successful launch in India of the new Gatherer model 3692.

MMServices was a tremendous success at the drupa’12. Continuing with this trend, Muller Martini shall also present the MMServices module at the Printpack India. This would be of great interest to existing and prospective customers of MM equipment – be it new, old or pre-owned machinery; in terms of optimising operating and investment costs; securing productivity, quality and added value; providing reliable investment protection; and maintaining and increasing the profitability of existing equipment.

Spare-parts & Service Support for Heidelberg Post-press customers: Muller Martini will also welcome all customers with Heidelberg saddle stitchers, perfect binders or thread-sewing machines.

Following an intensive transfer phase, Muller Martini has assumed global service and spare parts responsibility for the above production lines. That will strengthen Muller Martini’s core print finishing business and its global sales and service activities.

Sheth Printograph Pvt Ltd (5/C-15) popular under the brand name Daya Printograph, has carved a niche in the print finishing, packaging and paper converting industry. Their star product remains film laminating machines.

Welbound (5/C-4) The company is synonymous with adhesive binding in India. The group manufactures various machines that complete the post-press cycle from paper folding machines to three knife trimmers. Together with its partners the group delivers technology that converts the printed information into a well bound book.

Majority of books made in India are touched by Welbound – may it be with hotmelt or PUR or water-based adhesives.

Stationery Automation Machinery (P) Ltd (10/F-55) will demonstrate Renz Punch 500/Punch 500E and Autobind 500 ring wire machine.

Five Star Printing Mfr Co (3/B-17) main products at display includes Semi Automatic Paper Cutting Machines, Programmable Paper Cutting Machines, Punching and Creasing Machines Die Cutting with Hot Foil Stamping Machine, Double Head and Six Head Saddle Stitching Machines, Half Cutting, Title Cover Creasing and Perforation Machine, Slitting Machine, 3-Knife Trimmer and Complete range of Corrugation Box Making Machines. Kohima Machine Tools (7 &11/D-15 & G-4) is a manufacturer of ‘Ratan’ paper folding machines. They are exclusively manufacturing folding machines for the book forms, exercise note book and others.

Wen Chyuan Machinery Co Ltd (12/H-52) will display KYU-9W automatic spot UV/water-based varnishing machine and KYEK – 108DRK-VP automatic water-based film laminating machine for window-type cardboard lamination.

Integriti Consulting (10/F-9) is representing ERO S.r.l. which is a leading company specialized since 1994 in the production of electronic gluing systems for mono cartons, corrugated boxes & web offset gluing. The top three offerings would include Medium pressure cold glue system, with individual slides; High pressure cold glue system, with individual slides; and quality assurance system, bar code reader with ejector. Indo Poly Machines Corporation (3/B-21) shall demonstrate all time favourite ‘Poly-Master’ paper cutting knives, automatic knife sharpening/ grinding machines, etc.

Guru Nanak Machinery Company (10/F-58) Amritsar, will display heavy duty platen die punching machine, paper cutting machine and corrugated board and box making plant and machinery.

Pratham Technologies Pvt Ltd (1/A-24) is launching three important products at the show. These will include Superforld Outserts system with its complete accessories. These accessories include parallel knife folding for last thick folds, pressing unit and taping machine. The company will also showcase Supersort 100 percent carton inspection system, which is manufactured in collaboration with Vision Experts GmbH, Germany. This system is extremely useful for pharma, cosmetics and food package cartons where cartons need to be checked thoroughly for deviation in colour, text matter, coating, registrations, and print defects like scratches, stripes, substrate, hickey, smearing, dirt, insects, etc. Their first installation of this product will be done in the same month of Printpack i.e.

February 2015. Also on display will be offline inspection system for leaflets and cartons. This product facilitates print inspection at printing stage itself, but on sample basis.

Kalsi Machinery Co Pvt Ltd (5/C-11) will offer semi automatic thread book sewing machines, perfect book binding machines, hydraulic nipping machines, high speed single and four head wire book stitching machines and box stitching machines.

Cartonal Machines India (P) Ltd (9/E-61) will display automatic carton folding & gluing machine, self locating creasing matrix and Rhino creasing & cutting blades (rules).

Grafik Machinery Exchange (5/C-26) will display Fully Automatic Coating Devices, U.V. Curing Systems, Carton Pasting Machine, Carton Folding and Gluing Machines, Cache Cover Folder Gluer, Screen Printing Machines, etc.

First Paper Idea (7/D-3) will display Paper Bind finishing equipments which use patented technologies & designs and proprietary engineering.

Pramod Engineering (10/F-53) offers Flowline with 4-auto-feeders + stitcher in-line ejector & Three-knife-trimmer; Stitch-Star stand alone double-head DH II; Stitch-Star flow-line multi-head stitchers; Glory signature gatherer upto 30 stations; Stitch-star signature gatherer; complete wirestitching comprising of automatic section feeder, reject-copy ejector and in-line three-knife trimmer; Pride web-line stacker; Trim Star three-knife trimmer; besides paper drilling machines.

Screen printing/UV Curing…

APL Machinery Pvt Ltd (1/A-20 & A-30) established as a manufacturer of all types of Screen Printing machines, adapting itself to the changing market demands, APL further increased the business portfolio by adding high-end UV coating and curing machines. They also offer UV lamps.

Alpna Visual Packaging Aids (9/E-31) serves to the Print Coating needs of various Sheetfed Printers in and around Delhi. It also offers hi-technology products like- UV curing systems of various types and for various applications, roller- coaters, anilox-coating systems, sheets – stackers, etc.

Digital Printing…

Digital printing is making strong inroads and the technology complements the offset technology. More and more offset printers and copyshops are now opting for high-end digital machines to cater to short-run jobs. Canon India Pvt Ltd (7/D-14) will have four experience zones – Arizona gallery, photo printing solutions, production printing solutions and software solutions.

Machines on display will include iPR C600, iPR C800/C700, iPR C7011VP, iPF 6410S, iPF 8410SE and Oce PlotWave 500.

Konica Minolta (5/C-16) equipments will be displayed through their partners – HCL Infosysems (5/C-10), Monotech Systems Ltd (1/A-16), TechNova (3/B-16A) and KMI (10/F-59) Monotech Systems Ltd (1/A-16) will offer highend, high performance and reliable products and solutions for printing, packaging and publishing industry.

Their solutions includes Pre Press Machineries (CtcP, CtP, RIP and workflow solutions), digital printers for commercial printing and signage printers, digital signage and signage consumables. All time popular Scodix print enhancement concept will be demonstrated with great fanfare.

HP India (7/D-10) would showcase their capabilities in a 325 sq m booth at Printpack 2015. “We will display Indigo and Designjet machines. Also latex would be a major attraction at the show. We will have a Wall of Fame where best applications around the world on HP Indigo would be displayed,” told Appadurai, country manager-Indigo & Inkjet Solutions, Hewlett-Packard India Sales Ltd.

Xerox (7/D-18) will display Versant 2100, suitable for on-demand printing in the photo & commercial printing segments. It fulfills the needs of photo labs, commercial printers, quick printers, and in-plant operations seeking a mid-range device with highend capabilities. “The commercial print segment has to understand that digital is what you see while offset has many hidden costs like labour, wastage, set-up time, power consumption, etc. Digital will complement offset printing as it offers features like personalization, various media options, etc. It is an exciting time for Xerox and we hope to see many more installations of Versant in near future,” told Balaji Rajagopalan, executive director, Technology, Channels & International Distributor Operations, Xerox India.

Once again, VINSAK (9/E-10A) the solution provider for printing and packaging industry, is going to make its presence felt in Printpack India 2015. Highlights at the show will include VINSAK LVPI (Variable Data Printing & Inspection System).

Zund (9/E-23) will offer digital cutting systems, developed and produced in Switzerland. Retail Price, etc. on any porous or non-porous materials.

Web Offset…

India, known for producing single width web presses for applications like newspapers, books or semi-commercial jobs do have many manufacturers offering their equipments with varying print speeds. Automation at various levels in these web presses, has taken a front seat so as to achieve higher efficiency, lesser makeready waste, etc. These presses are also finding its place in overseas countries substantially, resulting into bringing in foreign currency into India proudly.

Print-Pack-Tech International (12/H-45) will have a catalogue/display show. They will highlight Carton window patching machine DIGISTAR WPI – an economical model from France based ESATEC. The machine comprises one timed belt feeder for the carton board feeding, one main vacuum belt for the carton transport, one gluing station with a cylinder, one film cutting unit, and one delivery belt.

Kalbro Manufacturing Co (7/D-12A) will majorly display vacuum pumps, industrial dry pumps and side channel blowers.

Softwares…

Param ERP is a product by Indore based company Param ERP Solutions India Pvt Ltd (9/E-18A) who are in the forefront to bring out print-specific software products for the Graphic Arts industry. They have ERP in open frame, modular integrated structure to serve packaging, publishing, commercial and narrow-web flexo label printers.

To celebrate 100 installations, they will offer Economic package of ERP for small and medium range printers at very marginal price. This ERP will have capacity to estimate and plan all types of commercial, packaging and publishing jobs with accuracy and simplicity.
