Digital Print Asia 2025 Marked As A Maiden And Inspiring Summit

Reenvision Events Private Limited has successfully launched Digital Print Asia 2025, a first-of-its-kind summit in India where global leaders, technology innovators, and print professionals gathered together to re-imagine the future of printing in an increasingly digital-first world, whether it’s in publishing, commercial or packaging. The inaugural edition of the summit was held on August 21 & 22 at Novotel in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Designed as an eco-system of digital printing, covering vast prospects covering flexible packaging, labels, book printing, and more, the two days of Digital Print Asia 2025 helped every attendee to Innovate, Network, and Lead with digital printing as a vital technology.

With a vision to unfold a whole new world of digital printing, Digital Print Asia 2025 is designed with a series of engaging sessions filled with discussions, discourses, and demonstrations of new products, trends, ideas and innovations that spark fresh values, cutting-edge digital technologies, which can eventually fuel the future of businesses.

The summit provided a platform where industry professionals and technology providers found a confluence to connect and collaborate.

A grand opening

Graced by a galaxy of industry leaders and visionaries, Digital Print Asia 2025 was auspiciously opened by a host of industry leaders and visionaries comprising Nihar Kothari, Executive Editor & Director, The Patrika Group; Seiji Nakashima, Corporate Vice President, Division, President of Professional Print Business, Headquarters, Konica Minolta Incorporation; Anil Arora, Director, Reenvision Events Private Limited; Tushar Dhote, Co-Chairman, PAMEX, Curator of Digital Print Asia; Janaka Rathnakumara, Chief Operating Officer, Wijeya Newspapers Limited; Satish Malhotra, President, All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP); and Vinod Kumar Sharma, President, Rajasthan Offset Printers Association (ROPA).

Started with a COMMON SESSION on Day-1, further engaged in a series of three BREAKOUT SESSIONS on Day-2, two days of Digital Print Asia 2025 were moving and inspiring. In his keynote speech at the onset of the summit, Nihar Kothari, Executive Editor & Director, The Patrika Group, articulated that digital printing is setting a new panorama alongside the beauty of traditional printing.

Pranav Parikh, Chairman, TechNova Imaging Systems, who was not able to present in-person, conveyed his message virtually through Deepak Chawala, Sr GM, Marketing & Corporate Communication, TechNova Imaging Systems, appreciating the launch of such a visionary summit on digital printing.

Shedding light on the long journey and business milestones of Konica Minolta, Seiji Nakashima, Corporate Vice President, Division, President of Professional Print Business, Headquarters, Konica Minolta Incorporation, talked about ‘Future Trends in Digital Printing Industry’, signifying the relevance of KM machines with which India currently prints.

In the follow-up session titled ‘Print Economics: Business Transformation Through Digital Printing’, Rishab Kohli, Managing Director, TPH Orient Group of Companies Pvt Ltd, presented the investment models suitably designed for assured financial returns in the world of currently flourishing digital printing sector.

After a brief networking tea, in the subsequent session titled ‘Printing Industry: Global & South East Asia Perspective’, Amit Khurana, CEO of TechNova Imaging Systems, revealed how the digital disruption is becoming visible phenomena in the printing industry.

Day-2 of Digital Print Asia 2025 was proceeded in the three BREAKOUT SESSIONS held in different auditoriums under three themes—Flexible Packaging & Label Printing, Exploring Innovation in Book Printing, and Digital Commercial Printing & Packaging.

BREAKOUT SESSION 1

Moderated by Deepak Chawala, Sr GM, Marketing & Corporate Communication, TechNova Imaging Systems, first presentation in this session titled ‘Flexible Packaging & Label Printing’ was from Ankit Madan, Senior Manager (Industrial Printers), Product Life Cycle Management, Konica Minolta Business Solutions India Pvt Ltd, who presented how KM solutions keep revolutionising digital printing in India.

An influencing talk on characterisation and fine-tuning in inkjet printing by Dr Tri Taludhar, Director, TriJet Limited, in the session witnessed new power of inkjet technology. In yet another persuasive presentation in the session, Ajay Raorane, Vice President, Domino Printech India LLP, stated that the advantage of digital printing is not merely for short-run jobs but also for many other aspects as the technology can transform even print service providers into brand owners.

BREAKOUT SESSION 2

Dedicated to the world of publishing, where stakeholders came together to discuss digital solutions for book printing, this BREAKOUT SESSION 2 under the title ‘Exploring Innovation in Book Printing’ was moderated by Ajay Agrawal, CEO & MD, Insight Communications Pvt Ltd and packed with discussions on topics on publishers’ viewpoints on digital adoption, innovations in binding solutions for digital printing, and advances such as printhead cleaning technologies.

A compelling case study from Inkfinity Prints showcased some real-world applications, while discussions on paper printing for digital books further enriched the knowledge exchange in the BREAKOUT SESSION 2. In one of the subsequent presentations, Edward Llop, Specialist in Inkjet Technologies, People & Technology, Spain, importantly highlighted the importance of printhead cleaning.

BREAKOUT SESSION 3

Among the prolific presenters in the BREAKOUT SESSION-3 titled ‘Digital Commercial Printing & Packaging’, which was moderated by Mehul A Desai, Founder & Chairman, MOS (Mail Order Solutions India Pvt Ltd) in a mind-blowing manner, was Manish Gupta, Head of Marketing – Production & Industrial -Experience, Konica Minolta India, whose presentation evolved into pitching the prowess of digital embellishments with JetVarnish and MGI for a new paradigm in businesses of specialty printing.

BREAKOUT SESSION 3 addressed the broader commercial printing landscape, delving into the role of AI in the printing world and many other new opportunities that keep surging with inkjet printing technologies for commercial printers.

Each BREAKOUT SESSION had a concluding panel discussion in which panellists discussed practical insights with forward-looking strategies for printers seeking to innovate in packaging and commercial solutions with digital technology.

Reflecting on the success of Digital Print Asia 2025 as an inaugural edition, Anil Arora, Director, Reenvision Events Private Limited, asserted, “Digital Print Asia 2025 has marked a defining moment for the print industry by creating a platform that unites innovation, dialogue, and collaboration. Next edition of the summit, Digital Print Asia 2026, will be held in Kochi, Kerala.
