VINSAK, one of the leading solutions providers in printing & packaging industry, has now started manufacturing label finishing equipment under the license agreement with AB Graphics, at its new facility in Navi Mumbai. Since two decades, they were distributors of the European manufacturers in India. We are manufacturing equipments such as slitter rewinders that have a larger domestic market and will soon expand the portfolio with the launch of up to five new products this year under the same agreement. The products which become too expensive to manufacture in the UK will be manufactured in India, says Ranesh Bajaj of VINSAK.

VINSAK LSR 330: “VINSAK LSR330, the machine based on proven European design with over 2,000 installations globally is manufactured at our state-of-art infrastructure in Navi Mumbai, keeping the highest quality standards. Few months ago, the plant was started in Navi Mumbai and the team after having faced various bottlenecks and challenges, came together to achieve the milestone within a short span of time,” says Ranesh.

The design of this label slitting and inspection rewinder includes a quick make ready rotary scissor slitting unit with knife separation and lateral adjustment. A colour touch screen HMI operator interface enables quick job setups, control of various counting facilities, automatic web advance, taper tension control and end of roll features. “We have succeeded in reducing the cost by getting competitive labour at a reasonable cost and volume production,” tells Ranesh.

Till now, they have delivered five machines which were exported to Africa. “We have got repeat orders for this and are hoping to sell more machines in this current fiscal,” he added.

LVPI 250: “We have also delivered two LVPI 250 and shipping a couple more in next few months,” he shares. The equipment is dedicated to press for printing personalized security labels with variable data printing, inspection systems and slitting. The components of this press are also imported but final assembling and testing are done in India. “This product is also made in India and has a global market. We are confident of generating good sales across Europe and other developed markets,” says Ranesh.

Way forward…“Our solutions are mostly used for security printing applications and enable the addition of special features such as embedding hidden images within the design without spoiling the aesthetic of the labels. Label printers need to initially invest but eventually they will add value to the brands and get a better ROI on the end product. It is, however, important to understand customer’s needs, identify the problem and give a relevant solution. We can make it difficult for the counterfeiters by offering something new and easily verifiable each time,” says Ranesh.

“We have also made some investments in a semi rotary and fully rotary intermittent offset shaftless press, LIO 350. It is an inline combination machine with an integrated control system. This offers to the printer the maximum precision as well as best stamping quality. It is designed in Europe and various parts are also imported. Manufactured by a contractor’s firm in China, the first LIO has been recently sold in Middle-East,” concludes Ranesh happily.
