New printing facility of S. Chand Group

S. Chand Group, one of the leading Indian education content company, has recently commenced a new printing facility at Sahibabad, about 3-4 km from its existing plant. With a working area of 50000 sq ft, the plant houses one 2HI Orient 508, one 4HI Press line 508 and one 4HI Orient 560 for their printing needs.

The plant is well equipped with post press solutions. “We have 15 station TSK online gathering and perfect binding machine, one 18 station offline TSK gathering machine, one Muller Martini 16-clamp Star binder and one 6 clamp Welbound. With these machines, we have an end-to-end solution for our printing needs,” tells Taranjit Singh, Head of Operations, S. Chand Group.

On asking about the production capacity, Taranjit replies that the plant has a production capacity of approx 25 MT per day.

“To ensure that we have lesser downtime due to power cuts, we have a power backup of 500 KVA,” he adds. The proposed staff strength of the new plant will be 150 people.

S. Chand Group has a strong foothold in the CBSE/ICSE affiliated schools, with increasing presence in the state board affiliated schools across India.
